Research Emphasis
Our research includes the design and implementation of a new, integrated computational system, called PHENIX, for high-throughput protein structure determination by x-ray crystallography. A particular focus of the program will be the use of single-wavelength anomalous diffraction phasing for rapid and efficient structure determination. We will be integrating PHENIX with automated data collection and processing software that we are developing in collaboration with Thomas Earnest's group. In the future we plan to extend the scope of the PHENIX system to include other biophysical methods for structure determination.
